ECO Youth leads recycling education effort in Providence!
Providence has been facing some recycling challenges recently – so who did they turn to? The Environmental Justice League! We’ve been supporting efforts to save Providence taxpayers money and lengthen the life of RI’s only landfill, which realistically only has 20-25 years til it closes, not to mention helping protect natural resources and get trash off our streets — by conducting 8 weeks of door-to-door outreach all across the city! Our ECO Youth and other volunteers deserve a lot of respect for going out night after night to talk with a grand total of over 1,200 neighbors! We celebrated our final night of outreach on October 3, 2013. Thanks again ECO Youth!
