Green Teenz

Green Teenz!

In Spring 2009, the EJ League teamed up with the Providence Housing Authority, Media, Youth, Television (MyTV), and Rhode Island Legal Services for GREEN TEENZ, a youth program focused on environmental issues and media.  The 10 participating youth gained the skills to produce their own videos, and learned a lot about their environment and how they can make it safer and healthier.

The Program:
Green Teenz was a 10-week program held on Mondays and Fridays from 3:30-5:00 pm, beginning on March 30, 2009.  With additional funding we hope to continue Green Teenz in the future.

Green Teenz is an opportunity for Providence youth to get video production skills and learn about environmental issues that affect their city.

Students who participate for the full 10 weeks will receive a $100 stipend upon completion of the program.

Location:
Hartford Park Community Center (50 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence 02909). Use bus route #28—Laurel Hill Avenue is off Hartford Avenue on the left side of the street.

Who can participate:
Students ages 12-18

How to Register:
Registration is closed for this session.
